The brand’s founder is part of the “Antwerp Six,” an avant-garde group of fashion designers who graduated from the renowned Royal Academy of Arts in Antwerp. Dirk Bikkembergs created provocative and innovative collections dedicated to the aesthetics of the modern man: strong, healthy, and masculine. The Bikkembergs motto is: “Mens sana in corpore sano” (a healthy mind in a healthy body). The brand’s target audience is the dynamic, modern man who seeks to be fashionable and contemporary.
The brand of football
Under Dirk’s leadership, the brand built strong ties with the world of football, becoming the first fashion house to hold runway shows inside the football stadiums of Milan and Barcelona, while also serving as the official designer for the famous Italian team Inter! In addition, Bikkembergs collaborated with the Spanish club Málaga and the Slovenian national football team. In 2018, Bikkembergs was chosen as the official clothing partner of the Russian Football Federation.
