Care Guide

All clothing items available at Destine are without exception exceptionally high-quality luxury products. Thanks to the variety of exclusive materials and their superior craftsmanship, the pieces require special care. To ensure the longevity of your investment and its impeccable condition, please carefully read the following care instructions!

Handle with Care

Our top-tier luxury products embody precision and meticulous attention to detail. Handle them carefully, with the care they deserve, to avoid damage or wear over time, while preserving the beautiful nature of each piece.
When handling extremely delicate fabrics and materials, such as cashmere, furs, silk, or suede, avoid excessive pulling, stretching, or rubbing to prevent damage. Treat them as a treasure, an investment.

Washing and Cleaning

Always follow the special washing instructions on the garment’s care label or packaging as sacred guidelines. Each piece is unique and requires a tailored approach to maintain its pristine condition. For garments labeled “dry clean only,” we recommend entrusting them to an experienced and professional dry cleaner familiar with luxury fabrics.
If hand washing is recommended, use a gentle detergent and cold water, or seek advice from our store. Avoid wringing or twisting the garment; instead, gently press out excess water before laying it flat to dry.

Proper Storage

Store your luxury items in a cool, dry place, well protected from direct sunlight and moisture. Use breathable garment bags or storage to protect them from dust and damage.
Avoid hanging heavy clothing, such as coats or suits, on thin hangers that may stretch or distort the fabric. Invest in sturdy, padded hangers designed to support the weight of luxury garments. Every piece deserves an honorable place in your wardrobe.

Careful Wearing

Before wearing your luxury items, check for loose threads, buttons, or embellishments. Address any issues immediately to prevent further damage! Imperfections are often noted by artisan workshops on the label, reflecting the uniqueness of each piece. After all, even the best tailors are human and may make minor mistakes. If you suspect something is unintentional, correct it with surgical precision to preserve the flawless appearance of the garment. When wearing shoes or accessories, avoid exposure to harsh weather, abrasive surfaces, or excessive moisture, as these can damage materials such as leather or suede. These treasures are meant to honor special occasions. Learn the art of rotating, combining, and managing your luxury wardrobe to prevent excessive wear, especially with footwear and accessories.

Professional Use

Although our luxury products are designed to convey refinement and elegance, we do not recommend using them for strenuous physical activity or extreme weather conditions (extreme cold, rain, snow, mud), or any combination thereof (skiing, running), as this can subject them to excessive wear, staining, or damage.
Reserve your luxury items for special occasions, light leisure activities, or events where they can be showcased and appreciated in all their glory.

Some Extra Tips for Footwear

  • Due to differences in length and/or width between your left and right foot, try both the left and right shoe when purchasing.
  • Do not choose shoes that are too tight or too loose, too small or too large, as they will be uncomfortable and lose shape prematurely.
  • If possible, change your shoes daily—or more than once daily if you can.
  • For wet weather conditions, choose water-repellent or waterproof shoes.
  • After use, always use shoe trees or stuff the shoes with paper to smooth out bending creases.
  • If your shoes get wet, dry them stuffed or with shoe trees in a ventilated area away from direct heat.
  • A synthetic upper shoe should ideally not be worn all day. After removing it, allow it to air out properly.
  • Laced shoes should only be worn tied; otherwise, the friction can prematurely wear the interior surface.
  • Put on and remove shoes with laces fully untied, buckled shoes fully unbuckled, and zip or Velcro shoes completely opened or loosened, using a shoehorn.
  • If shoes are not put on or removed as described above, the shoe’s structure or interior heel lining may be damaged, and warranty claims may be denied.
  • Protect shoes from sharp or pointed objects. Collisions, scratches, or abrasions may leave permanent marks on the surface, which may void any warranty claims.
