Tramarossa

History
This business was founded in 1967 in Vicenza by Urbano Chemello, the father of the current owners (Roberto, Paolo, Pierluigi, and Marialuisa). These were the years when the market demanded new models, and young people began buying classic garments themselves, increasingly distinguishing their look and craftsmanship from workwear, assimilating it into the fashion market. Even across the Atlantic, there were those who, like Urbano Chemello, recognized this new demand and, as true pioneers, began reinventing it. This is how the idea for Tramarossa products was born. As a tailor, he initially produced trousers for important local companies, and later was among the first to create jeans under his own line, marketing them in a region that would soon become the heart of the company: today, Veneto is a true Denim district.

From Tailoring to Shelves
Over the past two decades, with the gradual handover to the second generation, the Chemello family launched the Tramarossa brand, which faithfully expresses true excellence while iconically reinforcing its defining characteristics. The recent rebranding emphasizes the “red thread” (Italian: trama rossa), cleverly highlighting details that signify individuality: from the very beginning, their goal was to make jeans exclusively from this material, for true connoisseurs and enthusiasts. Fundamentally, it’s a “romantic” story—captivating, yet it soon became clear that industrial, engineered, and reliable support was needed to ensure maximum quality and service: this marked the transition from tailoring to premium products. Customers who value quality love to wear jeans that reflect their unique personality.

The Best Jeans In The World
Fifteen years ago, the mission was clear: from premium jeans to luxury jeans. A modern, organized industry vision using the finest Italian, Japanese, and European fabrics. Precise cuts, supervised and controlled production, making the brand worthy of its motto.
